After Long.

Its bright out here. Not much to my likin today especially. Wud have liked it a bit more cloudy and pleasant today.

And its been ages since I even viewed my blogpage. So here I am, writing in again. For all I assumed, I should have been dead by now, if anyone cared to view my blogs. Yeah, till now though, no one knows I blog. How interesting!

The other day, I saw this movie, 'The Terminal'. Heard from already-seeners that it was about someone getting stuck at a terminal. Ah! How boring! How could someone even think of this as a plot! - no, I wasnt thinkin that way. A friend was exclaiming. Its another story that I almost started thinking in those lines. Until I saw the movie.
It was a saturday evening. Somewhere around snack time.

I came to office, and my system has this bug with Windows Media Player.
I asked my IT Support. He said "Its not a problem with the WMP. There is an entry in the registry whi%^ $#&*^&() (*#*(%)(&# (*%* *nd thats y u seem to be having the problem". Wow...I didnt know!
Whatever it is, its still not been fixed! And I have to use my colleague's system to watch movies, if it was in any other format other than wmv. Hail Winamp!
And talking of my friend's system being free, ammm...lets name him SP. Any guesses?
He keeps disappearing over the weekends. Dont ask me where he goes. I am not supposed to tell ya! And I dont complain.
In our company though, its against ethics to use another fella's system without asking him. So?

Ok, so here I am, loggin into SP's system and beginning to watch the movie. +2 hours.
"Genious".I havent seen Hanks more convincing. Castaway was equally brilliant though, if not better.

Talk about being a software Engineer. U see, my degree shows I am an Electrical and Electronics Engineer. Yeah, it just shows.
In the first year at college, when no one knew whats in store for their main course, I was completely blissful. I am going to open tv sets and look into them, for once without my mom complaining. U see, by the time I pass out, I am trained well enuf. My mom should not bother. And she need not pay the servicemen.
All that, when I did not know life wasnt easy at EEE.
So what exactly made me shift my interest to Programming?
Two things actually. Good grades and Bad grades.
EEE was exposing me. Not like what the Indian team is going through now, as I type this sentence. Shame.
And those authors used too many jargons. See, engineering is supposed to make things simpler for the common man. Unless they treated me otherwise. For all I know, I grew up like the common man anyways.
Programming though, is simple.(All those who want to trash me for this statement, raise your hands)
Lets talk about this another day.

The raison d'etre for me talkin about being a software engg is, I wanted to discuss "forwards". Lets talk about that also sometime later.
Got a meeting now. Have to rush.
Tadaah.
