LONDON-BASED steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal is planning to buy `Rising Sun`, the biggest private yacht in the world. Mittal, who is the Chairman of Mittal Steel, has been checking out various yachts of late.
"Mittal has stepped up his interest in Oracle billionaire Larry Ellison`s mega-yacht, `Rising Sun`. He has been shown around the boat three times this year," it has been reported.
"It`s 138 metres long and, while there are bigger models currently in design, `Rising Sun` is the biggest private yacht in the world. Ellison hasn`t directly put it up for sale, but he`s made it known that he`s open to offers, somewhere just over the 200 million pounds mark. It`s safe to say only serious players need apply," reports add.
