Of a wonderful rivalry.
Only rarely does catastrophy of this scale happen.
A Sunday I had so much to expect of. So much excitement built around it.
And everything I hoped for, came crashing down.
But there are sweet memories to be salvaged. A match I witnessed yesterday might not happen again. Generations to come will envy me for having been able to witness it.
The major disappointments:
1. FedEx lost to the young pretender. And everything that I explained to my cousins regarding the similarities between this match and the match where Borg lost his match to McEnroe, came today in rediff.
2. Kimi lost, badly.
3. Not that I am any fluttered, but India lost to SriLanka in the Asia Cup.
I dont get very emotional apart from getting all excited and nervous for a game, but after Federer lost, I had a few tears. I cannot even begin to imagine how he felt.
