I've not watched this much tele in ages!

This was a busy weekend... It is difficult to watch television all day, eyes hurt, mind blanks out after some time, there is that extra power consumption, noise pollution, ears start hurting, body stiffens and muscles start getting tighter and more protesting... But it takes a lot of character to overcome all this and live the motto "mind over matter". It is was made easier by my steel resolve...

Out of bed on saturday at 10 am, and ready at 11 to start with the pre-match rave about the first final at Wembley. Had instant MTR lunch, that didnt require much movement from the couch. 3 pm, and the match starts. Not much of a game in the first half, and a wee bit better in the second. Then extra time, and we all know what happened. Sat through the presentation and everything, and then switched to watch double episodes of "8 Simple Rules", "The War at Home", "Friends". Had to move my a$$ this time, to make dinner. Good thing that the kitchen and living room are the attached. Didnt miss much telli action.

Moved on to "Top Gear" at 8.45, till 9.45 pm. Then switched between the movies "The Assignment" and "Pitch Black", both already seen by me, yet, nothing better on TV. Resigned to bed late into the night.

Sunday was very eventful. Got up at 10 am, and hit the jogging track at 11. Was determined to better my record so far, and managed 4 laps of the course, continuously without stopping to walk. And then a cooling walk around the course, and back home.

Sundays mornings, are dedicated to "Scrapheap Challenge" and program similar to "Junkyard Wars" on Discovery. My roomie and I love the prog, and so watched 4 continuous episodes. Thats 4 hours of non-movement. Then lunch, which roomie prepared. So no movement required from me.

And then proceeded to watch highlights of the Heineken Cup (Rugby). I dont understand the ABCs of the game, but love the way the people hit each other.

Then live action from Moto GP. I follow this regularly these days, though previously used to just catch up with the results. These days I've been marking the timings and catching up with the live action. This time, it was the French GP, and it was awesome. An hour and a half, well spent. Not exactly the result I was hoping for, but nevertheless, a lovely race. You keep getting awestruck, with the limits of engineering being pushed beyond comprehension.

And then, the most awaited of the day. WRC highlights and the special "Crash" episode. We didnt move from our seats, Rallys are something I have fallen in love with. Ah God, the drivers are superhuman!!! Someday, someee dayyyy, I will drive a car like that.

At 8, it was the "Best of Top Gear" time. Mostly episodes that I have seen and loved. So not much of oohs and aahs from me this time.

Dinner, prepared by roomie again. So felt pampered and enjoyed it, and then dug myself into two telugu movies back to back. It must be said now that I watch telugu movies because I find them extremely entertaining. I love the logic-less and senseless but pure entertainment. Sometimes, I think this is how movies are supposed to be!

After all the day's hardwork, it wasnt difficult to doze off, at around 11.30 pm.

In other news, Federer won against Nadal - I caught glimpses of the highlights.

Looking back at the weekend, it was rather a very very sporty weekend!!! Only, I had nothing to do with it this time, except sit back and watch them :D
