Shopper's Plight and Wet Weekend.

The weekend was good. Wet, but good.

Saturday was shopping time. Went to Stevenage, since thats the closest with a lot of shops where I actually can spend some money. But however, when shopping for moms and other elderly women in the family, its always a tough task. Because everything I want to buy for them is already there with them in abundance.

Did chocolate-shopping at Tesco Extra in Stevenage. And spent some time going through the Video section. Wanted to get Top Gear and Friends Videos. But with 15 pounds for each season, that was too much for me to afford. So all I could do there was sigh and get out.

My apartment-mate Pankaj and I got back by 4 pm and Pankaj made dinner, and we watched Top Gear and "Patriot Games" on TV. The movie was completely dumb towards the end, and we were wondering why Harrison Ford would agree to do such a dumb climax.
Anyways, nothing was going to change just because we wondered, and hence went to bed early.

Sunday was a good day. Ran 5 laps!! Thats a wonderful achievement, the effect of which I am feeling even today ;) Tight muscles, sore back. But, will run today and warm some muscles up again. Then it was time for Monaco GP. Again a big disappointment for me, Kimi couldnt do much. But, was an OK race anyway. Then watched "Best of Top Gear", and all the bests were already seen by me, so not much enthu. Then saw the sequel to "Patriot Games". Its called "Clear and Present Danger". It was much better than the former movie.

Monday was a bad-travel day. Lots of train suspensions, and delays and replacement buses - due to the Bank Holiday and due to the heavy rain. Been to London to meet friends. The journey back to Hertford was pathetic. Took the replacement bus from Liverpool St, and it got stuck some 2km before Seven Sisters, due to a traffic jam. It was so bad, that I decided to get off and walk. While walking I noticed that there was a silly accident, which caused all the confusion. I missed the train from Sisters, by around 15 seconds. It was painful to see the train go just meters away from me, but nothing I could do. The next train was an hour later, and I waited at the station, playing games in my mobile. Started at 8.21 pm, and the train took the longest route possible, stopping at all stations, and I reached Hertford East at 9.30 pm! Some stories to tell about the train journey, but more on that later.
Ocean's Eleven had started, and watched it while having dinner and then off to bed.

Today is a very slow day. Am feeling terribly sleepy and awfully tired. Got to get through the day though.
