We took a day tour of Seoul, a drop and pick up sort of bus tour, through a course called the Downtown course, which has a mixture of markets, palaces and tourist attractions. We chose our stops and visited the following:
1. Myungdong market, which we found out to be close to the Namdaemun market, about a km away.
2. Traditional Korean Village
3. Seoul Tower
The course also has the Namdaemun market, Itaewon etc but we'd already seen these places. The buses also had audio tour guides which explained what each place (around 27 of them in the course) was known for and what we could find. We window watched most of the places. And by this time of the year it gets pretty dark soon and places are fit to be watched from a higher altitude like from the Seoul tower.
This is a cheaper way of getting around the city and we are plain lucky to be here during the festive season. An absolutely beautiful city with so much to do and see.
